The pouch shape, seal area, material structure, opening feature and artwork must be designed together. Available options may include transparent areas, tear notches, hang holes, rounded contours and spouts, subject to production and performance requirements

What Is a  Shaped Pouch ?

Shaped pouches are flexible packages with outer contours created through heat sealing, pouch making and custom die cutting. Instead of using only a conventional rectangular outline, the pouch can follow a fruit, bottle, animal, drop, leaf or brand-specific shape.
Shaped pouches may be developed from flat, stand-up and spout pouch structures. The base pouch structure determines how the package is filled, sealed, displayed and used, while the custom contour provides its distinctive visual appearance.
Not every proposed shape is suitable for production. Narrow sections, sharp internal corners, insufficient seal widths and cut lines positioned too close to printed text or functional components can affect sealing, filling and die-cutting performance.
