What Is a Quad Seal Pouch?

A quad seal pouch is a gusseted flexible package with four reinforced vertical seals running along its corners. As the side gussets expand during filling, the pouch develops a square or rectangular profile with improved structure and capacity.

Quad seal bags are commonly used for coffee, tea, grains, nuts, powders, dry pet food and other products that need a larger filling volume, strong shelf presentation and reinforced side construction.

A quad seal pouch should not be confused with a flat four-side seal sachet. A flat four-side seal pouch is sealed around four flat edges and normally has no expandable side gussets. A quad seal pouch has two side gussets and four vertical corner seals.

Four vertical corner seals help the filled pouch maintain a defined, box-like profile. Actual stability depends on the pouch dimensions, gusset depth, product weight and filling level.

Four Reinforced Corner Seals

The four vertical seals reinforce the pouch corners and help distribute product weight across the package. Seal width and material thickness should be selected according to the filling weight and transportation conditions.

Expandable Side Gussets for Greater Capacity

The two side gussets expand as the pouch is filled, providing additional internal volume without requiring an excessively wide front panel.

Front, Back and Side Printing

Artwork can be printed on the front, back and two side gussets, providing space for branding, ingredients, instructions, barcodes and product information.

Custom Closures and Functional Features
