A flat bottom pouch, also known as a box pouch or 8-side seal pouch, is a preformed flexible package with a separate flat base, front and back panels, and expandable side gussets.
When filled, the bottom opens into a stable rectangular base that allows the pouch to stand upright without additional support. This construction combines the shelf presence of a carton with the material efficiency and barrier options of flexible packaging.
